Songs of the Musical Demon
Please click on each song you wish to listen to and it will play once it has loaded. All of these have been composed by me. I’ve done the lyrics, vocals and music myself but please bear in mind I am not a singer. My aim is to buy better instruments and get a better sound once I get the backing from a record label. I have put a description next to each song to help you understand where they’re coming from. To see the full words to the song just click “Lyrics” on the above tab.

- Whiskey Demon- Ok. Another weepy I sincerely apologise……NOT! So this guy for whatever reason hit’s the bottle (work, depression, Yoda dies…I don’t know he just does). Anyway his wife sticks by him for as long as she can, he’s not abusive or anything but in the end she leaves.
She gives him one more chance to meet her providing he’s sober and on time. If he doesn’t make it she will get on the 9.05am train and leave for good so he must get there. So he’s on the bus as he can’t drive (lost his license) on his way to the station with plenty of time to spare. Problem is there has been an accident in the road up ahead and all the traffic has stopped, he’s stuck.
So he gets off the bus and runs the last few miles to the train station, the flower’s he carries take a battering. There’s a woman lying in the road that’s been hit by a car and is being attended to by medic’s and ambulance staff so he figures she’s in good hands.
He gets to the station on time but she isn’t anywhere to be found, he even looks on the train. He looks all over the station and just as he starts to think she never turned up he realizes she was the one hit by the car. She die’s and he never got the chance to make things right and he just blames himself. If he hadn’t hit the booze she would never have left and she would still be alive today.

- Something Simple- This song is about how people often seem to take the easy option only to find it’s only a temporary solution. It’s also about how rubbish people are at job’s they just shouldn’t be in. Like a person working in a café that doesn’t like serving or a nanny that hates kids. The scene I set this in is café and the girl just ignores any customer to get out of serving. She doesn’t clean up properly and she’d much rather text her friends or read a magazine than do her job but no one will sack her. This was from many personal experiences I’ve had so I’m sure you will understand it.

- A Little Sweet Home Of Mine - I think we have all been in a situation at work at sometime in our lives where we’re over-worked, under-paid and under-valued. My inspiration came from personal experience and so I know it relates to almost everyone around. Yet at the end of it all no matter how people treat you or how bad your day was. When you get home, it’s yours and no one can tell you what to do or when to do it….apart from the gas man!

- Lucy and the rain - This song is about a guy who just can’t stop getting himself into trouble with the opposite sex. But don’t feel sorry for him, Lucy was a perfect partner for him there was no reason for him to stray. He knows he did wrong but just can’t seem to help himself and so she kicks him out leaving him in the rain with nowhere to go. I’ve seen this happen to people (not me) and it’s not nice so I thought I’d write it into a song.

- You're Through- Imagine the scene, you’re at work and you’ve helped someone up the ladder, gone out of your way and put a good word in. Then that very same person set’s you up for the biggest fall of your life and takes your job getting you kicked out. So you’re down on your arse thinking it’s all over but you remember you kept some files from the computer. The files prove you were set up and you get your job back and revenge as that same person is given the boot. But it still hurt all the same that someone would do that but in the end you’re a strong person and you pick yourself up.
HAPPY DAYS!

- I'm Addicted- This song is about how you can meet someone and just be totally taken away by them. You can try and be as cool as you like but the truth is you hate being away from them and you’re simply addicted.

- A Never Ending Road - A very sad song about losing a loved one. In this case a drugged up driver killed this guy’s wife and he just can’t get over it. No matter what he does he can’t move on as he was so in love his life has just been vaporised. I think we all have someone special that we’ve lost so although the circumstances are different it can relate to most people.

- I Remember - This is a song I wrote about the love of my life Kerry. It’s about how, in the years to come I would look back on our time together even when we’re old and remember everything. It’s an up-beat romantic song with a catchy tune that could easily be sung by many great performing artists. It’s one of those tunes that you can’t help but whistle and sing along to without it being annoying.

- The Hill- Was written with my son Thomas in mind and how one day he’ll be exactly where I am and how he will take over the mantle. It’s about feeling proud of where you are and where you belong. My family stone (lyrics from the song) relates to my house, my family, my city and my country and so can relate to anyone in the world. I had visions of it being sung one day with a Welsh choir and a well known artist so we’ll have to see.

- The Musical Demon Theme Tune- I played this all myself I didn’t do on a recorded loop or anything so I’m quite proud of it. So I named it as my theme tune and just kept it as a tune although I have recorded it with lyrics. I think it would be great as a sporting theme of some kind it’s just very catchy.

- Visa-V- I was asked to create a “jingle” for a company called Visa-V that build and host websites. I have done the jingle which will be on the radio soon but I also did them a longer version to be used as a company theme tune and this is it. It gives you some idea of how my creative side can work commercially. The company can be found on http://www.visav.net/ and they are really good too.

- I’m so over you- A song about a girl who gets her heart broken but bounces back and moves on. The pain never goes away though and even though she’s over it her heart remains broken. I got a professional session singer to sing this for me called Sally Rivers and I’m really glad I did. You will find her details on my links page feel free to check out her website.

- Just having one of those days- This is about a girl down on her luck and things just don’t seem to get better. She lost her job through no fault of her own and has only the money in her hand. So she goes for an interview but falls over a crack in the path on the way ruining her clothes and she starts to cry. The tears make her make-up run (she looks like a clown) but she still goes to the interview anyway. When you having one of those days nothing you do seems to go right….ever.
I sing this myself but I am getting it sung by a session singer very soon.

- A Million Different reasons- A song mostly based on me in lots of ways and life in general. I’ve had to work hard to get where I am and I don’t take anything for granted be it people or things. It relates to anyone in a similar position to me which is probably about 60% of the world population. You don’t have to be rich or poor just have morals and standards to live by.

- So far away- I wrote this for my brother but again it relates to most peoples lives. Like most people I’ve had my share of crap thrown at me all through life so I’m nothing special. What is special to me is that my brother and really close friends have stuck with me all the way. It’s nice to know that even when you’re at rock bottom there are people who really care and help you back up again. It’s about all the plans and ideas you have growing up and how things never quite turn out how you had imagined.
